Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan

· Is the oldest festival of Indian Classical Music in the world
· Conducted in Jalandhar, Punjab
· It shall complete 136 Years on 28th December 2011
· The Government of India has recognized this festival as one of the National Festivals of Music
· The festival attracts around 40,000 music lovers from all over the India and abroad every year. This number is increasing year after year
· Entry to the Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan is Free.
· The present cost of organizing the Annual Mega Event is around Rs. 25 Lacs. Major expenses are met out of voluntary donations made by public and private organizations

Anyone who has attended this event has vouched that it is an event that one must attend if you are a fan of any music, and more so if you love Hindustani Classical Music. Apparently the sheer energy, diversity of talent, vibrancy in air and the rendition of soulful music is completely worth it!!!
