Why does one write?

Take a minute to pause and reflect on why does one write?

Here’s the view of many writers:
To share their knowledge
To share their opinions / view-points, etc.
To share their experiences – observations / learning’s, etc.
To make you think / ponder / reflect
To make you dream / imagine

And then those which many of my friends seem to vouch for these days:
To make money
To kill their time
To kill your time
To put you to sleep :)
To go to sleep themselves :)
And lastly, To achieve name and fame

But then again as a reader, you can choose what you want to read based on your sensibilities. That choice no one can take away from you.
