Letting Go: The Mother’s Perspective

Letting Go is always difficult – whether it is your past or your fears or your sinking relationships or your failing investments. And what is probably most difficult is to let go of your children.

Why is it so difficult for mothers to let go of their children?
Sometimes even for a minute
Sometimes even with their husband’s
Sometimes even with their parents
And then of course, with anyone else – whether friends or family or strangers

Because
With the child goes a part of the mother’s heart
With the child goes a part of the mother’s head
With the child goes a part of the mother’s body
With the child goes a part of the mother’s soul

And if you’ve lost a part of your heart, head, body and soul, then
Something’s never going to be the same ever again
Something’s going to be gone forever

And that can’t be easy for anyone, least of all for A MOTHER….

This post is dedicated to my mother
