The POWER of ACCEPTANCE

Over the years I have come to believe that your life can be transformed by virtue of ACCEPTANCE.. So what do you need to accept?

You accept yourself
You accept your past
You accept your roles
You accept your family
You accept your gender
You accept your culture
You accept your reality
You accept your choices
You accept your decisions
You accept your responsibilities
You accept responsibility for the situations you are in
You accept your strengths
You accept your areas of improvements
You accept the complexities of the world around you
You accept diversity of human behavior, reactions and responses
You accept that you will probably not know everything you possibly can
You accept that you will probably not understand every aspect of the human universe
You accept that you may never be able to do everything that there is to be done…
You accept that you are IMPERFECTLY PERFECT
You accept that you are PERFECTLY IMPERFECT

And while ACCEPTANCE is key, I honestly believe that there are something’s which you should NEVER ACCEPT.. So what are the things that you should not accept is
You should not accept other’s judgment of you (unless they have all data points, apply neutral logic and reasoning and are qualified to judge you)
You should not accept other’s dreams for you (unless they are your dreams as well)
You should not accept other’s choices for you (unless you are really OK with it)
You should not accept other’s constraints on you (unless you’d be happy to make them self-imposed constraints)
You should not accept other’s commitments on your behalf (unless you can / wish to honor them)
You should not accept other’s assessment of what YOU CANNOT DO!! (unless you really believe you can’t do it yourself)
You should not accept other’s view of your future (unless it is your own view of the future)

Ending words of wisdom:
Be cognizant of what you ACCEPT
Be cognizant of what you DO NOT ACCEPT
Awareness and Acceptance are the starting points of any change…
