In the voyage of life - You build, nurture and let-go of one / many relationships…
And in a pensive moment when you try to connect the dots of your life, you realize the many facets of relationships
Some make you love yourself
Some teach you to fall in love
Some coerce you to experience love
Some enable you to express your love
Some make you understand the meaning of life
Some make you define your priorities
Some enable you to choose your priorities
Some compel you to re-define your priorities
Some teach you
Some make you teach
Some are amazing
You are amazed at how some turn out
Some never cease to amaze you
Some inspire you
To some you are an inspiration
Some make you care
Some teach you to care
Some show you the way to care
And some make you realize that its not worth caring for
Some make you laugh
Some make you cry
Some make you hope
And some make you pine
Some make you forget yourself
Some make you forget the world
Some make you forget time
Some make you forget life
Some encompass you in a bubble
Some make you burst your bubbles
Some fill your life with bubbles of many kinds
Some are great
Some are good
Some are okay
Some are bad
Some are ugly
There are just so many kinds of relationships
And each one
Was meant to be
Is meant to be
To make you live
To make you learn
To make you love
To make you what you are
To mold you to what you should be
To eventually route you to the final destination

I Don't Care
Have you ever heard of anyone say “I Don’t Care” ..
Am sure you have… It’s almost every day you hear someone say this…
Hmmmm…
You probably know of people who don’t care about the weather, appearances – theirs and others, food, exercise, reading, writing, technology, health, wealth, politics, inflation, economics, history, civics, geography, math, physics, chemistry, cleanliness, cooking, feedback, others thoughts and emotions, ideas, innovations, books, …………………….
It’s probably impossible for you to care about everything under the sun..
But I wonder when “I DON’T CARE” can actually be detrimental in your life
Is it when you DON’T CARE about YOURSELF?
Is it when you DON’T CARE about those who LOVE you?
Is it when you DON’T CARE about those who you LOVE?
Is it when you DON’T CARE about TIME?
Is it when you DON’T CARE about your immediate ENVIRONMENT @ home and work?
Is it when you DON’T feel like CARING for ANYTHING or ANYONE?
Is it when you DON’T understand what CARE is?
Am sure you have… It’s almost every day you hear someone say this…

4) Most important is to learn to be in control of your car - You should be able to start, stop & Maneuver at will
5) Assume the following are your responsibilities - You, Your car, Other drivers, Other cars and Anyone / thing on the road
6) If you make a mistake, accept it and do the required course correction - Whatever be the scale of error
Lastly, Remember that no one knew driving when they were born. They learnt, they evolved with experience and became perfect with practice...

When do you really LEARN?
Over the years, I've learnt many things - Some out of compulsion, Some out of choice, some out of curiosity, some due to the circumstances...
And many of these lessons I seem to have forgotten over the years..
But some I remember - Really clear and distinct...
And I don't think anyone can take those lessons from me
And I ask myself.. When does one really LEARN?
A baby learning to walk
A child learning ABC's
A doctor to practice
A salesman making sales
A teacher to teach
A student to learn
A cook to cook
An artist to create
I believe one REALLY learns when
You are alone
And need to act, speak, decide, think...
My best learning's in life came at these points
What it was just me and
The event
The situation
The circumstance
The thought
The conclusion
The decision
And these lessons of LIFE..
Are deeply etched in my mind, in my heart, in my soul...

To Nigella Lawson
During a random browsing activity, I learnt that today (6 Jan) was Nigella Lawson's birthday...
Well.. I had to dedicate a post to her.. After all, my interest and fascination for cooking bears its roots in watching her cook...
Hmm.. I was wondering why I am so fond of this culinary goddess...
She's charming, warm, friendly, interesting to watch, creative, full of positive energy, always smiling, so real in her cooking, is diverse in what she dishes up, combines old and new - in recipes, techniques and tools...
I think what I enjoy is watching the way she cooks - the creative process
The way she enjoys cooking
The way she enjoys feeding others
And most importantly, she relishes her own food :)
Happy Birthday Nigella...
