Why read books?

To learn
To dream
To realize
To connect
To emote
To express
To love
To hope
To give
To receive
To imagine
To be alone
To understand
To experience
To feel inspired
To make the clock tick
To value everything there is
To appreciate all that you have
To respect the work of a writer
To invest in a best friend for life
To create your own 'make-believe' world
To recognize how much you take for granted
To travel the world from the warmth of your house
To say 'Thank You' to all those who taught you how to read
To add to the income (& profits) of everyone associated with the book

To give wings to your body
To give fodder to your mind
To give melody to your heart
To give 'nirvana' to your soul

  13. So true that we also help line their pockets. But the lines I loved were To give wings to your body To give fodder to your mind To give melody to your heart To give 'nirvana' to your soul - very soothing lines. Nicely done.
