Why I love interacting with the 14 year old girl and 41 year old woman?

"I hate myself
I hate life
No one understands me
Life is complex"
said the 14 year old girl

"I love myself
I love life
No one will even understand me, and that's OK
Life is as complex or simple - It is a matter of perspective"
said the 41 year old woman

I love interacting with the 14 year old girl and the 41 year old woman
Because they represent two ends of a spectrum
And the cotinuuum of life

The 14 year old is vulnerable
The 41 year old is accepting of her vulnerability

The 14 year old has more questions, and is not willing to listen to the answers
The 41 year old understands that there will be many questions which go unanswered

The 14 year old is unsure of herself
The 41 year old is sure in her skin

The 14 year old is unaware of the many facets of her beauty
The 41 year old is aware that her beauty has many dimensions

The 14 year old is unforgiving
The 41 year old is (more) forgiving

The 14 year old thinks there is only one way to love
The 41 year old knows that there is no one way to love

The 14 year old is scared to break free
The 41 year old knows she broke free

The 14 year old is on the transition to a woman
The 41 year old is living the journey of womanhood

The 14 year old is in denial of herself
The 41 year old is accepting of herself

The 14 year old thinks she knows it all, and knows it best
The 41 year old knows it all, and knows it well - and yet, is willing to hear your view

The 14 year old is at the stage when her choices will change the course of her life
The 41 year old is at the stage when she is living her choices

The 14 year old takes family and relationships for granted
The 41 year old values family and relationships beyond imagination

The 14 year old is raring to go
The 41 year old is yearning to come

The 14 year old is learning everyday
The 41 year old is also learning everyday

Age is a number.. And a state of being
How old are you? 14 or 41?
